This article is about using Oomi to replace your remotes.

Oomi can control your entertainment system by copying the signals sent from your remote controllers.

Before you begin,

1. Make sure Oomi Cube can see the device you want to control

The copied signals will be sent out from Oomi Cube. You'll need to make sure that Oomi Cube has a direct line of sight to the device that you want to control.

2. Make sure your remote controller is an IR controller

Oomi can only replace classic IR (Infrared) controllers. IR controllers work by sending a signal from the front or top of the remote.

  • Check to see that your controller has a translucent point at the top of the controller

The translucent point is the IR emitter. It sometimes looks like a clear round point, but is sometimes a darker smooth plastic.
